Sam is the founder and managing director of HouGarden.com, New Zealand’s premier online property website for Chinese-speaking buyers, attracting over 150,000 unique monthly visitors. Sam is also the CTO of OneRoof, New Zealand’s second most visited property site, with 500,000 monthly visitors. Sam’s expertise in technology and finance, coupled with his passion for property, has positioned him as a leading figure in the New Zealand real estate industry.

Alex Su

iRelax

Alex is the CEO of iRelax NZ, which operates 11 retail and experience stores around New Zealand. Alex oversees the operations and strategic direction of the business and has grown his massage chair company from a humble one-store business to having over 75% of the New Zealand market share. Additionally, iRelax has worked with some of the largest organisations in New Zealand, such as the Ministry of Health and Auckland Airport. Alex’s deep experience in the retail sector allows him to understand the challenges unique to retail.

Dave Yu

Spark Business

Dave is the regional lead of Spark Business, a division of New Zealand’s largest telecommunications and digital services company. Prior to his current role, Dave was the Hub manager of Spark Business Central Auckland, where he led a team dedicated to providing IT solutions to businesses. With two decades of experience in the telecommunications sector, Dave is constantly at the cutting edge of technology.

The competition gives aspiring business students a chance to display their knowledge and skill in a practical business context. It will give students insight into the issues that companies face and inspire them into pursuing future opportunities in the business world.

We aim to enhance critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills that are relevant to the modern workplace. Alongside these skills we will also nurture creativity, innovation and teamwork to foster an environment of entrepreneurship.

Not only does the competition challenge students, but it also serves as a fun opportunity for them to team up with like-minded peers and collaborate effectively to produce unique and creative ideas.
